Free Planning Center Alternative for Churches
Planning Center Services is a mature worship-planning platform with deep scheduling features and a monthly subscription. If you just need volunteer signup sheets for parish ministries — altar servers, coffee hour, Trapeza, cleaning — ParishSignUp gives you that piece free, without the rest of the suite.
Why parishes switch from Planning Center Services
- No per-volunteer fees on signup sheets. Parish Plus is optional and separate.
- No product onboarding — create your first signup sheet in under 2 minutes.
- Focused on signup sheets, not a full worship-planning suite. If you don't need chord charts, rehearsal files, and band scheduling, you don't need to pay for them.
- Church management software for signups, confession, groups, and the calendar. It does not replace worship planning or accounting.
- Recurring series schedules generate months of sheets in one pass.

Frequently asked questions
Is ParishSignUp a replacement for Planning Center Services?
For volunteer signup sheets and recurring ministry schedules — yes. For worship service planning, chord charts, and rehearsal files — no. Use ParishSignUp alongside your worship tools, not instead of them.
Can Planning Center users switch to ParishSignUp for signups only?
Yes. Many parishes keep Planning Center for song lists and band scheduling but move their volunteer signups (Trapeza, coffee hour, cleaning) to ParishSignUp to save on seats.
How does ParishSignUp stay free?
Volunteer signup sheets have no ads and no per-volunteer fees, and that part of the project is supported by voluntary donations. Parish Plus is an optional plan for memberships, surveys, stewardship, catechesis, and analytics.
